Florida Native Trees Direct is a locally owned family business based in the Redlands delivering Florida native plants and trees to homes in Miami-Dade County. Born of a lifelong love of  south Florida's wild places, Florida Native Trees Direct is our family's effort to change the way the south Florida homeowner approaches their landscaping. Over the last 40 years we have seen a drastic reduction in the numbers of migratory birds that pass through south Florida twice a year. Upon their arrival from over-wintering in the Caribbean and South America arriving migratory birds used to be met with a bounty of fruits and berries on the flora that made up our vast Pinelands and  Hardwood Hammocks. Those habitats have all but been destroyed here in south Florida. Although their numbers are down many species of birds still migrate. Many of the trees and plants offered here provide for those migrating species.
